The Prince Dies

Sadly, Prince was discovered dead in the elevator of his Paisley Park home in Chanhassen, Minn. on April 21st. The Police and emergency medical personnel on the scene found the music pop star unresponsive when they arrived at the scene and they performed CPR but it was unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at 10:07 a.m.
Prince received 7 Grammys awards and even performed at the Super Bowl in 2007 which turned out to be quite well received by rather stubborn sport fanatics who have become bored with halftime shows.
The pop singer sold 100 million records over the span of his career and won an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score for Purple Rain in 1985. At his induction to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 he surprised everyone performing the Beatles hit “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”.

Prince leaves behind a huge music library that includes “When Doves Cry”, “Purple Rain”, “Raspberry Barrett” and “Little Red Corvette”.
He was married and divorced twice and had no children but his legacy will survive, including his seminal hit film Purple Rain along with the soundtrack from the original Batman film.
