When someone asks you if you have any ideas for an awesome Hollywood hotel, most conjur up a stay at the expensive Chateau Marmont or the friendlier priced W hotel. Let me tell you there is one singularly, perfect destination when you’re mind leans towards a Hollywood stay. What is this magical hotel you say? Well, it’s none other than the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel of course.

If you’re looking for that mythical hotel that can place you in that unique space in time when Hollywood was at it’s seemingly unlimited peak in both film quality and star power then this is the place for you! The minute we rolled up to the valet parking a very well mannered and rather handsome gentleman provided us a warm welcome I haven’t seen in L.A. since like forever. Honestly it’s so unusual to see this kind of service today and every hotel should take a lesson from the Roosevelt. We settled into our lovely room with views of the great city of Hollywood and immediately changed into our bathing suits for a day of cocktails and apps at the pool. As we exited the elevator we took in the absolutely beautiful views of the hotel interior which includes an ornate ball room and unique old english-style pub. All the while friendly faces met us along the way making sure our visit was the absolute best possible.

The ladies and men providing service poolside at the Roosevelt are fantastic and the setting made us feel we just walked onto a movie set. There was a live DJ with turntable churning out the most delicious retro and current tunes to fill the mood of those swimming and in recliners. Once you locate your desired recliner you immediately realize there are these cute cabana rooms along each side of the pool with guests walking to and from as necessary. Once you’re laying down you can’t miss the Roosevelt’s tower. These tower rooms offer unique views of Hollywood Boulevard, Chinese Theater and the Hollywood sign. We may try the Tower next time…or maybe the Cabanas? Regardless, everyone in those recliners and floating within the pool are discretely searching for any well known actors who might just need a day to themselves. I’m honestly not the best at spotting actors but then I was caught up in the sheer luxury of it all. However, if I was lucky enough to be a working actor you can be sure I would be spending a couple precious days at the Hollywood Roosevelt every now and again.
