So it has been a while but I’ve been doing things! In fact I was in Europe visiting Austria, Switzerland and the Black Forest of Germany. We flew into Munich airport, and our sled for the week was a cute little white 2 door Golf and we drove it across the famous fast paced autobahn.

We were so excited to arrive in Salzburg, Austria as it was a world away from our life in the U.S. Beautifully preserved churches and wondrous vistas that included a pint or two at the famous Stiegl’s Brewery which is a hill top restaurant with picnic tables where one can take in the beautiful scenery and luscious summer days.  One thing to be aware of upon your visit is that parking is generally outside the old city. For instance we parked in the salt mines which have all been converted to giant parking structures with some mini mall features.
