Fig & Olive – Newport Beach

Hello Everyone!  So I was out with friends in Newport Beach this weekend and what a cute and hoppin’ place this was. As you enter through the doors of this Fig & Olive there is a strikingly beautiful movie stage ambiance with plenty of glittering people to admire or oggle. We however were there to celebrate a friends anniversary and we started the party with a bottle of Cristal champagne and from there went straight into a fig gorgonzola tartlet hors d’oeuvres.  I’d recommend going light on the starters here as they are quite sumptuous and filling.

The ladies all ordered something different so we could sample each others plates.  I had the Rosemary Lambchops and they were to die for! Even if you’re not a fan of lamb you might find these interesting so please give them a try. The main entrees include sea bass, salmon, and sea scallops, provence roasted chicken, veal milanese, chicken paillard, and filet mignon.

This place is a must see experience! Dinner was delicious and the ambiance amazing. Overall the decor is beautiful with a wide open feel and both the male and lady servers are gorgeously attired. They have a DJ playing a mix of jams that will sit right with just about anyone and we may even return for their very popular happy hour (4-7 everyday, including weekends) some night in the future.  Valet parking is offered but as this is at the edge of the Fashion Island shopping mall it’s not all that necessary.
